What is CEEPUS and what is a CEEPUS network?
CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) is a regional program, which started operating in March 1995. The goal of the program is to establish and encourage the mobility of students and teachers between the participating countries and to take advantage of mutual friendship links and the opportunities of forming joint study programs.
Higher education institutions from the following countries can participate in the CEEPUS program: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia.
CEEPUS operates on the basis of networks. An individual network is established by a university, school or its department of a certain field. The so-called ‘networks’ must consist of at least three partner universities/schools/departments, of which at least two from different countries. One of these institutions is the network coordinator. A network as a whole applies for a certain number of months of mobility, which can only be allocated for the purpose of hosting incoming students and teachers in accordance with the approved proposal of the mobility program.

The CEEPUS network Women Writers in History represents the continuation and deepening of the collaboration in the field of women writers research, which has been performed at the School of Humanities for over a decade and started with the entering into the NEWW Women Writers in History, was further carried on in the form of the COST Action.
Women Writers in History – Toward a New Understanding of European Literary Culture, the HERA project Travelling TexTs 1790-1914: Transnational Reception of Women’s Writing at the Fringes of Europe and is and is currently being carried out by a working group Women Writers in History, which is a part of the DARIAH network.
